You Can Be a Hero: Saving Lives through Organ and Tissue Donation
Rutland, VT–One organ and tissue donor can save up to eight lives and restore health to 50 others. Unfortunately, every day 21 people die waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Join Rutland Regional Medical Center for an overview of organ and tissue donation and transplantation on Tuesday, April 12 from 6-7:30pm at the Franklin Conference Center at the Howe Center in Rutland.
Shaina Kaye, Hospital and Community Service Specialist from the Center for Donation & Transplant, New York and Vermont and Kerry Ellis of Rutland Regional Medical Center’s Marrow Donor Program will be joined by Jim Grout of Westminster, Vermont who will share a personal experience when his son became an organ donor.
